Imprenta Communications Group partnered with Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) to produce a PSA video that highlights the importance and need to have APA leaders in elected office. APAICS is a national non-partisan, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting Asian Pacific American participation and representation at all levels of the political process, from community service to elected office.
The cornerstone of the video focuses on the idea that without APA leaders in elected positions now there is little to inspire future generations of APA leaders to aspire for success. Another theme of the video touched on the xenophobia that the APA community faces in terms of being perceived as perpetual foreigners, being asked “Where are you really from?”
The video has been broadcasted nationally since November 1, 2016.
